R-alpha lipoic acid

R-Alpha Lipoic Acid Capsules

100% R-alpha lipoic acid
No S-alpha lipoic acid

Most dietary supplements available on the market consist of only 50% of
the biologically active R-form and to a large extent the ineffective S-form.
Sanutrition uses only the 100% pure stabilized R-alpha lipoic acid,
which is the body’s own form and has high bioavailability.
S-alpha lipoic acid is a synthetic form, which has an
has hardly any noticeable efficiency.
Order now pure R-alpha lipoic acid as a pure substance without additives.

High dose R-alpha lipoic acid
against free radicals

Alpha lipoic acid, also known as thioctic acid, is a sulfur-containing substance,
isolated from liver tissue as early as the 1950s and tested for
their physiological tasks in more detail.
Alpha lipoic acid is considered the most important antioxidant in the human body.

Since it can pass the blood-brain barrier and is also both fat and water soluble,
alpha lipoic acid is a component of every cell. Thus, it assumes an important role in, among other things, the
Diabetes, acts as a powerful antioxidant and scavenges free radicals
and supports the blood supply in polyneuropathy.

Additional information

Alpha Lipoic Acid
Synonym(s): thioctic acid, vitaminoid

Occurrence in food
Alpha-lipoic acid is a sulfur-containing fatty acid found in foods primarily from lipoamide-containing enzymes and is bound to the amino acid lysine (lipoyllysine).
Since alpha-lipoic acid is found in particular in tissues with high mitochondrial numbers and intensive energy metabolism, animal products such as liver, heart and kidney accordingly also supply appreciable amounts. Plant sources of alpha lipoic acid are spinach, broccoli and tomatoes. Yeast is also considered a good source of this fatty acid. However, accurate information on the content of alpha-lipoic acid in foods is limited.

Physiological effects
Energy metabolism : Supports ATP production from carbohydrates
Introduction of carbohydrates into the citrate cycle
Nervous system: analgesic effect
Improvement of neuronal glucose utilization, increase of neuronal glutathione level, glucose metabolism: increase of glucose utilization and glycogen synthesis, antioxidant : protection against free radicals, lipid oxidation, repair of oxidatively damaged proteins. Stimulation of glutathione synthesis and regeneration of already “depleted” antioxidants: liver metabolism: has a protective effect on liver cells and supports detoxification, endothelia: vascular protection by improving NO-induced vasodilation.

Alpha lipoic acid is one of the conditionally essential nutrients. Under normal circumstances, it can be adequately synthesized by the body, but in the case of disease or under special physiological conditions, synthesis appears to be inadequate.

Increased demand
Increased oxidative stress (e.g. due to smoking, sports), alcohol abuse, diabetes mellitus, radical-associated diseases such as multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, liver regeneration and heavy metal elimination.
Special risk groups for deficiency: diabetes mellitus, heavy metal exposure.

A universal antioxidant
Alpha-lipoic acid (thioctic acid) is an endogenous sulfur-containing substance that is a universal antioxidant involved in many metabolic processes in both lipophilic and hydrophilic environments. It is now believed that alpha-lipoic acid is one of the conditionally essential nutrients that are adequately synthesized by the body under normal circumstances, but whose biosynthesis appears to be inadequate in disease or under special physiological conditions (1).
