Nattokinase is an enzyme isolated from the fermented soybean. It has been used in naturopathy for generations as a natural bulb thinner. In Japan, the word “natto” refers to a traditional dish made from fermented soybeans that is recommended for cardiovascular problems and fatigue. Since natto has a very strong and often unpleasant odor, it is not very popular in Western culture. Our formula is odorless and contains no vitamin K, which is extremely high in the original natto at over 1,000 µg per 100 g.

Due to its blood-thinning properties, nattokinase is often used to treat cardiovascular problems. The enzyme has fribrinolytic properties, which can dissolve blood clots. Nowadays, nattokinase no longer has to be laboriously isolated from natto, but can also be produced using genetic engineering, often with leftovers from shrimp production.
