It is produced naturally through plant fermentation. Reduced L-glutathione is the bioactive form as it is also produced by the body itself. This makes L-Glutathione capsules from Sanutrition well absorbable.
Glutathione – one of the
most important and powerful antioxidants
Glutathione (GSH) is an endogenous peptide compound found in virtually all human cells and is a component of important enzymes. In the body, it is formed from the three amino acids glutamic acid, cysteine and glycine via a two-step synthesis process. However, after the mid-forties, the ability to synthesize the sulfur-containing tripeptide decreases. Stress, environmental pollution, diseases, inflammations or an unbalanced diet can also lead to an increased glutathione consumption in the cells.
Glutathione is considered one of the most important and powerful antioxidants and is found in almost all human body cells. It not only protects against free radicals, but also has the ability to regenerate other oxidatively depleted antioxidants. These include, for example, vitamins A, C and E, flavonoids, co-enzyme Q10 and selenium.

Occurrence in food
Glutathione is found in foods in very different amounts. High concentrations contain sprouts and shoots, asparagus, yeast and meat. However, storage, processing and heating destroy the vital substance. Accordingly, processed foods contain only small amounts of the vital substance.

The physiological importance of L-glutathione
The tri-peptide L-glutathione is quantitatively the most important intracellular sulfur compound. It is synthesized endogenously in the cell from the amino acid cysteine. Glutathione and the resulting selenium-containing glutathione peroxidase form one of the most important antioxidant redox systems in the intracellular space. L-glutathione preserves cell structures, lipids, proteins and nucleic acids from oxidative damage caused by oxygen and hydrogen peroxide radicals. During the degradation of these free radicals, the reduced glutathione form is converted into the oxidized glutathione disulfide, which in turn is regenerated with the help of a vitamin B2-dependent enzyme and with the participation of niacin in the redox recycling process (1). A close relationship exists between vitamin C supply and glutathione synthesis. When vitamin C intake is restricted, glutathione plasma concentration decreases and the ratio of reduced to oxidized glutathione deteriorates (2).

Wir haben Glück unsere Produkte direkt in Österreich herstellen zu dürfen. In dem HACCP-zertifizierten Familienbetrieb wird jedes einzelne Produkt nach den höchsten Ansprüchen in Bezug auf Natürlichkeit, Reinheit und Qualität hergestellt. Durch die seltene halb-automatische Herstellung, können wir ganz auf Zusatzstoffe verzichten und dir die feinsten Reinsubstanzenprodukte anbieten.
Kann ich die Inhaltsstoffe einsehen?
Ja. Alle Nährwerte und Inhaltsstoffe (auch die gesetzlich nicht-deklarierungspflichtigen) findest du bei jedem Produkt im Onlineshop und auf der Verpackung.
Wieso steht bei vielen Produkten keine Wirkung?
Leider ist es uns als Verkäufer laut aktuellen EU-Richtlinien nicht mehr gestattet Wirkversprechen oder Heilaussagen zu Nahrungsergänzungen zu machen. Informiere dich vor dem Kauf am besten bei deinem Arzt oder Heilpraktiker.
Sind die Produkte frei von Zusatzstoffen?
Ja. Sowie unsere Produkte laut Gesetz frei von Konservierungsstoffen sein müssen, legen wir noch einen drauf:
- Bei uns kannst du dir sicher sein, dass wir nur die Wirkstoffe hineingeben. Unsere Kapselhüllen aus Zellulose (Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose) sind pflanzlich und 100% vegan.
Bei vielen Herstellern wirst du unauffällige Fließmittel zur schnelleren Produktion oder Füllstoffe zum Stabilisieren der Wirkstoffe finden. Nicht bei uns! Wir sind frei von Magnesiumstearat, Siliziumdioxid, Nanopartikel (ohne gesetzliche Ausnahmen), Gentechnik, künstliche Farb- und Aromastoffen, Titandioxid, zugesetztem Zucker & Süßstoffen. Um nur ein paar Bekannte zu nennen.
Sind die Produkte vegan oder allergenfrei?
Ja. Alle Produkte sind hypoallergen gefertigt und etwaige enthaltene und natürliche Allergene werden deklariert. Etwa 90 % unserer Produkte sind komplett vegan. Bei nicht-veganen Produkten (wie z.B. Omega-3 aus Fisch Kapseln) findest du immer sofort die Angabe bei den Produktdaten.
Sind die Produkte getestet?
Ja. Produkte, sowie deren einzelne Rohstoffe, werden von externen Laboren geprüft und entsprechen natürlich den strengen EU-Richtlinien.
Wie soll ich die umweltbewusste Verpackung entsorgen?
Du erhältst unsere Produkte ganz bewusst, sicher und umweltfreundlich verpackt:
- Unser Papertubes sind unser ganzer Stolz. Viele Produkte findest du in diesen Papierdosen, die nicht nur sanft in der Hand liegen, sondern auch ganz praktisch mit gutem Gewissen in dem Altpapier entsorgt werden können.
- Unsere Braungläser verwenden wir dann, wenn wir hoch empfindliche Rohstoffe in die Kapseln geben. Mit ihnen halten wir die höchsten Ansprüche und Lagerfähigkeit sensibelster Wirkstoffe. Nachdem du den Inhalt aufgebraucht hast, kannst du sie einfach wiederverwenden, oder im Altglas entsorgen.
- Unsere Beutel schützen all unsere losen Pulver. Mit dem Zipp-Verschluss kannst du die Papierbeutel so oft öffnen und schließen wie du willst. Auch sie können in die Altpapiertonne, da sie ganz ohne Aluminium auskommen.
